Please, notify us if you have Covid-19

If you have tested positive for Covid-19, you need to notify your Course Coordinator. Why, you may wonder - as you mostly study at a distance anyway?

We have noticed that many students simply do not think about notifying the University, as most of you study at a distance. Given that there are still practical elements such as some teaching, visits to the Library, collection of exams, group work and examinations on campus, it is important that staff at the University become aware of the cases of Covid-19. This applies to both cases among students and among the staff. This is a necessary prerequisite for the University to be able to contribute to the work with, among other things, infection tracing and to reduce the risk of the spread of infection.

Everyone's responsibility

The spread of Covid-19 is large in Västra Götaland, as well as in many other parts of the country.  As of December 14, more stringent national regulations and general guidelines will apply regarding everybody’s responsibility in preventing the spread of Covid-19. For most people the disease is a respiratory infection, but a number of different symptoms can occur. Many people only get mild problems and compare it to a cold, for other the life ends. We all now have a duty to take measures to prevent the spread of infection. So take your responsibility and also remember to notify your Course Coordinator if you have been tested positive for Covid-19.
