For a regular student at the University of Skövde, a request for taking an exam off campus will be denied. Although if special reasons are provided, the course coordinator decides.

For students at any other university, a request for taking an exam off campus will be denied.

Taking a distance educational program at a different university at the same time as I am studying at the University of Skövde. Exams can be arranged if it can be done the same day and time as other exams at the University of Skövde and if there is room in the exam rooms. The other university will have to approve that the exam will occur off campus. The University of Skövde takes no responsibility if the exam is turned in late or not.

Taking a distance educational program at the University of Skövde. The rules for regular students apply for these students as well. Exams off campus will be denied unless special reasons are provided. There could be specific instructions for your program. If so, they can be found on the course page in our Learning Managment System.

Living abroad and wants to take an exam. The same rules as for exchange studies apply here.

Only taking a distance educational program at another university. The University of Skövde no longer accepts students in this category to take exams at campus. This also applies to those who were previously able to. We are sorry that we are no longer able to provide this service. In the region of Skaraborg, there are Nitus learning centers that accept students that want to take exams. The centre closest to you can be found here: Nitus.

Because of different term times between the University of Skövde and our partner universities, exams off campus might be required. This applies to exams given by the University of Skövde and the partner universities.

In most cases, a distance exam can be arranged but there is no guarantee. The decision almost always lies on the partner university. The University of Skövde can not affect this decision.

• Distance exam at partner university
  Taking an exam at a partner university that is held at the University of Skövde demands approval from the examination office at the University of Skövde. If examination office approves, you should contact the university you want to take the exam at (usually international offices) to see if anyone can supervise your exam. Please be aware that you have to do the exam the same day and time it as those doing it on campus.
  Ask someone at the university you have chosen to contact the University of Skövde through distanceexam@his.se. This is to prepare your environment at the partner university so you can take the exam.
  The exam will be sent to the partner university first. When the original documents of your exam arrives at the University of Skövde it is sent for correction.
• Distance exam at University of Skövde
  Taking an exam at the University of Skövde that is held at the partner university demands approval from the course coordinator at the  partner university. You should give the contact information for the examination coordinator at the University of Skövde to the course coordinator at the partner university. 

Ask your course coordinator to send a request for exam off campus to the University of Skövde at distanceexam@his.se. For this request to be approved, there has to be a planned exam at the University of Skövde the same day and time as the partner university.

The exam is sent to the examination coordinator which makes sure the exam is available in the exam room. When you turn in your exam it is sent to the partner university for correction.

Unfortunately we can not provide services as examinations or tests to someone who is not a student.
