Student Health Service – we’re here for you!

Studying at university level can be challenging, and students may experience stress, depression or sleeping problems. The Student Health Service is here to help all students at the University of Skövde. We who work here want to help you, and you are always welcome to contact us for (e.g.) advice or support. It costs nothing to visit us, and naturally we are bound by a duty of confidentiality. You can find us on the 2nd floor of Building E.

If you should need to contact healthcare providers, more information is available on our webpage.
The public healthcare advice service can be contacted by calling 1177, although in emergency situations you can call 112.
Emergency psychiatric help can be obtained by calling 0515-876 00 (service available 24 hours a day).

If you are a new student at the University and are already undergoing treatment or investigation for a psychiatric issue in your home town, we recommend that you ask your care provider for a referral so that your care can be easily transferred to Skövde.

Webinar on Distance Studying

The Student Support team will host three webinars addressing the challenges of distance studying - How stress affects you and practical tips on how to study successfully.
Join us on the following dates: May 6th, May 20th and June 3rd

You can also find our tips for studying at home, here in Studentportalen.

During the spring, we host a series of lectures addressing various issues, such as exam stress and procrastination. Look out for more information at the start of term. We look forward to seeing you!
Are you looking for somewhere to meditate, pray, or just take a break in a calm and peaceful environment? The Serenity Room is open to all students and employees.
Would you like to find a new friend on campus – or to be a friend to others? The Swedish Church has organised a "Kompis på Campus" scheme that brings students at the University together.
