Great news! Without a car, it has been rather difficult getting to Billingen, unless you are prepared to climb a small mountain by feet. Now it is possible to take the bus instead.
The new bus line is called 8 and the bus leaves from the bus station in Skövde every half hour between 9.05 am 8.35 pm, both on weekdays and weekends. From Billingecentret it goes back to the city centre, every half hour between 9.19 am to 8.49 pm.
Billingen is located just west of Skövde and it is known for its sports and recreation areas. At Billingen, there are many hiking trails and in winter the area offers both downhill and cross-country skiing as well as ice skating.
