The School of Engineering Sciences tests teaching online through Zoom. The test is done as a preparation for dealing with a situation where the possibility of conducting campus education is affected by the Corona virus. If you are a student at ING and have a scheduled teaching opportunity on Monday Mars 16th, the teaching opportunity may have been moved to a Zoom room online. Read more about the test below.
We are facing a situation where the spread of the Corona virus in the society can affect the University of Skövde's ability to conduct campus education. The School of Engineering Sciences is preparing to deal with such a situation by, at short notice, testing to move planed campus-education online, using to the video conferencing tool Zoom. The test will be conducted on Monday, March 16
As a student you should do this!
Step 1: Log in to the Student Portal where you can see your schedule. If it besides the scheduled lecture says: "This lecture is conducted online" this means that the lecture has been moved from campus to the web.
Step 2: Make sure you have Zoom installed on your computer.
If you have not used Zoom before, you may need to install a Zoom client on your computer. If so, log in to the Student Portal and paste this link - https://zero.comaround.com/en-us/content/1058426 - into your browser's address bar. It will take you to an instruction on how to download and install Zoom.
Step 3: Log in to the university's learning platform Canvas. The teacher responsible for the course has published a link in the course's Canvas room. The link goes to the Zoom room online where the lecture is held. Click on the link to participate in the lecture.
