All major challenges we face in today’s society are linked to the United Nations Global Sustainability Goals. The Challenge Labs are organised by INGENIUM partner universities. This course, within the INGENIUM European University, gives you 1,5 credits by the University of Skövde.
The aim of this course is to become aware of and identify complex challenges and problems that our society is facing and how the sustainable development goals are interconnected and integrated into all challenges. The challenges we present are related to the UN Great Transisions.
The course is divided into six online workshops consisting of both lectures and discussions, based on a real life challenge an external partner (company or Non-Governmental Organisation) will present. Topics include climate change, food systems, energy, health, sustainable mobility, education and social security and all related to the three pillars of sustainability: social, environmental and economic.
All INGENIUM students are welcome to join. No specific background or expertise is needed. You can join one or several challenge labs or you can join all six. If you join all six and do a quiz after each workshop and one written assignment at the end – you can get 1,5 credits.
