To ensure a stable and future-proof wireless network (WiFi), IT Service will upgrade the wireless infrastructure during the summer. As part of this work, we need to carry out a WiFi Site Survey in our facilities.
What is a WiFi Site Survey?
A WiFi Site Survey is a technical assessment in which we walk through the buildings and measure signal strength, interference, and coverage from the wireless access points. The purpose is to map the actual coverage and identify any deficiencies, in order to plan and design an optimized wireless network.
When?
The survey will be conducted during the weekend to minimize disruption to ongoing activities. It is scheduled for:
- Date: April 26–27
- Time: 08:00–18:00
How will this affect operations?
The work is non-disruptive and will not cause any interruptions to the network. During the survey, technicians will move through the premises with measuring equipment.
