Apply for the INGENIUM Junior Summer School in Sofia, Bulgaria

Make the most of your studies and build international connections! You can now apply for the final edition of the INGENIUM Junior Summer School, taking place 1–5 June 2026 at the Medical University, Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of the 10 Days of INGENIUM event.

This year’s theme is “Health promotion in the new era”, and the week is primarily aimed at first- and second-year students from the ten partner universities within the INGENIUM European University – including the University of Skövde. Regardless of your field of study, you will gain a unique opportunity to grow, meet students from across Europe, and gain new perspectives.

Two programme tracks to choose from

The programme is offered as two Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP), and you choose one of the following tracks:

AI and Labour Market Transformation

For students interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping the world of work. Key topics include:

  • The impact of AI on jobs, skills, and working conditions
  • Emerging professions in the digital economy
  • AI adoption in industry, services, and public administration
  • Inclusion, the future of work, and ethical and legal challenges

Emergency Medicine in a Changing World

Suitable for those curious about the future of emergency healthcare. Focus areas include:

  • Emergency care in the context of climate change and global crises
  • Digital innovations and AI-supported medical decision-making
  • Pandemics and global health threats
  • Emergency care for ageing and diverse populations
  • Ethical and organisational challenges in emergency medicine

Free participation and credit-awarding course

The course is free of charge and provides points. You can apply for a scholarship of 79 EUR/day via Erasmus+ and receive reimbursement for travel costs up to 5000 SEK.

The week, combined with preparatory work, corresponds to 3 ECTS credits. This is a perfect opportunity to meet students from INGENIUM’s ten partner universities—and of course, it looks great on your CV. Plus, you will return home with plenty of new knowledge.
