On 5 December the University had the opportunity to thank and present well-deserved diplomas to our newest alumni during the annual graduation ceremony. This year’s Diversity Scholarship recipient and the winners of this year’s Golden Apples were also recognised at the event.
All students who graduated during the past two academic years were invited to the graduation ceremony. Three hundred of them participated in the ceremony, together with their loved ones. The graduating students received a personal diploma in front of the audience in Valhall.
"The interest in this year's ceremony has been incredibly high. We are happy and proud that our graduates choose to come back to celebrate their degree and that we have the opportunity to recognise them. It is proof that the students appreciated their time at the University and that Skövde has truly earned the title Student City of the Year," says Simon Wallin, coordinator for the graduation ceremony.

The Diversity Scholarship
This year's Diversity Scholarship was awarded during the ceremony. It went to Khatima Wichit for her thesis "Climbing Without a Ladder: Barriers to Career Advancement in Sweden", which highlights how structural and cultural obstacles affect career opportunities for people with different cultural backgrounds in Sweden.
