There are two different types of parking permit: short-term parking and monthly parking. The monthly parking can be renewed automatically. The auto-renewal can be cancelled, for example during your summer vacation. The rules apply for both students and employees at the University of Skövde.

To obtain monthly parking:

1. Create a Parkster account or use the one you already have
2. Order a code at https://student.his.se/en/my-profile/parking/
3. In the Parkster app, select zone "50375 Månadsparkering Högskolan i Skövde". The zone covers all car parks on the University's campus, including the parking lot outside Building Portalen. After you click on "Select vehicle and buy ticket", enter the code you received in step 2.

It can take up to 24 hours before you can use the code, so be sure to order it before your first day of parking.

AVARN Security is responsible for guarding parking spaces.

Hourly parking

Weekdays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm: The first two hours are free, thereafter SEK 12 per hour
Other times: SEK 5 per hour

24-hour parking

Per day: SEK 70

Monthly parking

Per month: SEK 300

Charging station for electric car

On campus there are charging stations that are not parking spaces within Parkster’s system. There you charge your car, pay for the electricity, and then move the car. The charging posts are at Building C (by the gym Nordic Wellness) and at the substation at the end of Högskolevägen.

Parking for cyclists

Park your bicycle in the University's bicycle rack or bicycle poles. This must be respected in order to facilitate the technicians' transport by vehicle inside the area and for the snow removal in winter.

ATTENTION! No bicycles may be parked indoors, under stairs or similar.

Parking at Building Portalen
