The information that may have been leaked from Canvas includes:
- names
- email addresses
- messages between users
At present, there is no information indicating that Canvas passwords have been leaked.
What has the University done?
The University has:
- reported a potential personal data breach to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY),
- maintained ongoing contact with other Swedish higher education institutions that also use Canvas,
- monitored the situation and taken the necessary measures.
