Who are you Beyza?

- I am currently an Erasmus student in Skövde, where I am pursuing some master’s courses in systems biology and biomedicine. Otherwise, I am studying Biomolecular design in Darmstadt, Germany.

How did you get interested in painting?

-I began painting during the second semester of my bachelor’s degree, at a time when I was searching for a way to slow down and find balance alongside my studies. Painting quickly became a space for reflection and is now a way to translate what I observe and feel into something visual.

Tell us about your paintings that you exhibit, please!

- All my paintings are deeply inspired by my time in Skövde. Through my paintings, I capture moments from everyday life as an international student; quiet winter landscapes, the first experiences with wintersport, and the simple beauty of the surrounding nature and architecture in spring. My paintings are a collection of moments and impressions of a place that is new to me - yet already feels like a part of me!
