Bioscience - Molecular Bioinformatics

Congratulations on being admitted to the Bioscience – Molecular Bioinformatics programme, the first step to your future career! We'll make sure that your curiosity in life sciences is growing even larger, and together we will learn how to use novel large-scale technologies to study biological data.

Registration

You will need to register for the study programme before the programme starts to keep your place on the study programme. You can do that via www.his.se/studentportalen between 3rd and 15th of August. To be able to register you must first activate your user account at konto.his.se.

If unable to attend

If you do not have the opportunity to be present at the programme start, it is very important that you communicate this to me via e mail. In addition to this, you also need to register on the study programme via the Student Portal at latest August 16th. You will lose your place on the study programme if you do not register via the Student Portal.

Programme start

The programme starts Wednesday the 25th August 2021, at 10:15 to 15.00 in room G203 (house G)

What happens this autumn?

The programme starts with taking a broad approach to the field of life sciences. The subject area of the programme is introduced in the course "Introduction to computer tools in bioinformatics". In parallel course "Basic Chemistry" you will be introduced to chemistry. The following study period you will use this knowledge to understand how our cells are constructed and function in the course "Cell Biology”.
