During the period June 12–23, some of the University's computer rooms will be closed due to reinstallation of software. Each room will be closed for about a week and during that time neither students nor teachers will have access to the rooms.
All the University's computer rooms, apart from the NSA´s lab, are affected and will be closed in different stages.
“We have agreed with the teachers responsible for the programme and laid out the work in three rounds, and in the first two rounds, one computer room per school is affected. We hope that there is understanding for this, even though we know that it can cause problems both for employees and students,” says Mikael Harlén, Operation Developer at Support Services.
The reinstallation is done so that both students and teachers will have access to computers with updated software. This means that the current version can be replaced by a newer one with slightly different functionality.
“If you are dependent on working in a computer room with the current version, it is wise to finish your work before July 3,” says Mikael Harlén.
The times that apply will also be posted on the doors.

Reinstallation in remaining computer rooms and the computers will be available to students again from August 7.
